[CNMO Technology News]According to the gross profit and gross profit margin data of China’s independent brand OEM in Q1 compiled by the agency, the gross profit of the 17 listed car companies totaled 102.94 billion yuan, of which BYD, ranked first, had a gross profit of 34.19 billion yuan. Overall, the top three are: BYD, Geely Automobile, and SAIC Group.
According to Passionategeekz, in the ranking of gross profit and gross profit margins of China’s independent brand OEMs in the first quarter of 2025, 9 automakers’ gross profits increased year-on-year, with an average gross profit margin of 15.6%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the same period last year. Among these nine automakers, Xiaopeng Motors increased by 191.5% year-on-year, up two places compared with the same period last year; Leapmotor Automobile achieved a gross profit of 1.49 billion yuan from a loss of 40 million yuan in the same period last year, up four places compared with the same period last year; Xiaomi Auto’s gross profit reached 4.31 billion yuan, up six places compared with the same period last year.
In addition, the gross profits of GAC Group and Beijing Automobile have declined to varying degrees. Among them, GAC Group’s gross profit in this ranking was relatively low, with only 40 million yuan, a ranking of 6 places lower than the same period last year. In addition, BAIC Blue Valley’s gross profit was at the bottom, at -280 million yuan.
In terms of gross profit margin, Cialis relies on the hot sales of Wenjie models, and its gross profit margin reached 27.6%. The other car companies with gross profit margins exceeding 20% are: Xiaomi Auto 23.2%, Ideal Auto 20.5%, Beijing Auto 20.2%, and BYD 20.1%. BAIC Blue Valley’s gross profit margin is the only negative of the 17 listed car companies, at -7.5%.
