[CNMO Technology News]Recently, foreign media reported that the iPhone full-screen design that Apple has been working hard for a long time is likely to be realized in recent years. It is reported that in 2027, Apple will launch the first true full-screen iPhone with facial recognition and under-screen front camera.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gulman said Apple will reduce the size of Lingdong Island on the new iPhone released next year. He expects Apple will release a redesigned 20th anniversary iPhone model the following year. In addition, Gulman once said that the 20th anniversary version of the iPhone will use curved glass bezel, ultra-narrow bezels, and the screen is seamless from beginning to end with no holes. This will be the first iPhone to truly realize a true full-screen design.
Last month, it was reported that next year’s iPhone 18 Pro will be equipped with under-screen facial recognition. There is only one small hole in the upper left corner on the screen to accommodate the front camera. It is also said that the devices will no longer form a pill-shaped area on the top of the screen.
Previously, some digital bloggers predicted the design trend of iPhone: the back changes greatly in 2025, becoming a horizontal large matrix lens; the front changes greatly in 2026, becoming a hole-punch screen (under-screen FaceID); the comprehensive change in 2027, becoming a true full screen (under-screen FaceID + front-screen).
According to Passionategeekz, the transition from iPhone to true full-screen design is gradual. In 2017, Apple launched the iPhone X, from Touch ID and thick bezels to Face ID and bangs; in 2022, Apple launched the iPhone 14 Pro, from bangs to Lingdong Island.
