Vivo is set to refresh its Y-series lineup, starting with the Vivo Y31. We’ve received intel suggesting that Vivo will be launching the Vivo Y31 5G in the Indian market later this year. It could definitely stir things up in the budget segment. Given that 5G is gradually rolling out in India, it’s smart for Vivo to start integrating it into their Y-series lineup, which has always been about offering solid performance at a reasonable price. Since the specifications for the Vivo Y31 5G aren’t out yet, we can only speculate based on trends in the industry and what we’ve seen with previous Vivo devices in this range.
Just to recall, The Vivo Y31 (4G variant) was officially launched in India on January 12, 2021. It features a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 2408 x 1080 resolution, providing good clarity and size for media consumption. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, offering decent performance for everyday tasks, though it’s not the most powerful in terms of gaming or high-end applications.
The camera setup includes a 48 MP main sensor, paired with a 2 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor for better portrait shots. For selfies, it has a 16 MP front camera. It’s equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, which should easily last through a full day of use, and supports 18W fast charging for quick top-ups. The device comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card. The Funtouch OS based on Android 11 is running the show, providing a clean user experience with some extra features. The phone also boasts a sleek, glossy design available in Racing Blue and Silver Wave colors.
The Vivo Y31 5G, on the other hand, might still be under wraps or in the works for a future launch.
