Passionategeekz On June 22, @Stenboo took photos of the new Tesla Model Y Performance under the Alps yesterday and released it through the nextmove channel.
Judging from the spy photos, the new car and the existing renovated Model Y have a sporty carbon fiber tail wing, a sporty rear bumper, and larger 21-inch wheels and special rear logos. In addition, the color of this car paint may also be new.
Before this, someone had photographed the 2026 Tesla Model Y Performance prototype being tested at the Nürburgring.
After the basic version of RWD long-range model is updated, Tesla will bring two sub-type models, the 7-seat version and the Performance high-performance version to the Model Y. Passionategeekz noticed that the Model Y Performance prototype has been witnessed several times in city streets and tracks.
The new Model Y Performance prototype has a lower body height than the standard version. The lower body not only helps improve driving dynamics, but also gives the vehicle a more aggressive posture, especially when paired with large-sized wheels.
In terms of power, the new car is expected to be equipped with the same 510-horsepower dual-motor configuration as the Model 3 Performance, which is a significant increase compared to the 456 horsepower of the 2024 Model Y Performance. Combined with improved drag coefficient and lighter body, the new car’s 0-60 mph acceleration time is expected to outperform the current model’s 3.7 seconds.
