According to official reports, the construction of Shenzhen TV’s 4K channel is centered on “domesticization”, “intelligence” and “media integration”. It adopts a large number of products and technologies from Shenzhen’s local innovation forces such as Huawei, Shenxin Service, ZTE, Skyworth, and DJI on key equipment. Domestic equipment accounts for nearly 80%, building a safe and reliable technical base for safe broadcast production.
The seven core sections of 4K ultra-high-definition external shooting system, 800㎡ studio, news studio group, post-production, media, broadcasting and transmission distribution system have been newly built or upgraded.
In addition, advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, 5G, XR, and IP will also be fully utilized to create an advanced platform for the integration of IP production and broadcasting networks based on SMPTE ST 2110 and cloud-native technology.

The official also stated that as the first batch of provincial satellite TV 4K channels approved by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Shenzhen TV took the lead in exploring the dual-wheel drive mode of “technology + content” to provide a vivid example for the “4K first, 8K reserve” strategy in the “Action Plan for the Development of Ultra HD Video Industry”. Shenzhen Satellite TV’s 4K ultra-high-definition channel will directly drive the technology upgrade of shooting, production, transmission, display and other links, and stimulate the explosion of diverse application scenarios such as live broadcast vehicles’ real-time ultra-high-definition transmission, aerial photography 4K material library, urban public large screen (airport, subway) ultra-high-definition content broadcast, and 4K live broadcast of top international events, promoting innovation and upgrading of the entire industrial chain.
