The popular manga “Food Court de, Mata Ashita.” by Shinichiro Tokunaga is officially getting a TV anime adaptation, set to premiere in July 2025. Known for its simple yet heartwarming concept of high school girls chatting at a food court, the manga gained widespread attention on social media platforms, and fans have eagerly awaited this announcement.
The first key visual for the anime has been unveiled, featuring the two main characters, Wada and Yamamoto, on what appears to be a casual yet meaningful journey. To celebrate the announcement, the anime’s official X account (@foodcourt_anime) has launched a special campaign, offering three lucky winners the chance to receive an original sticker through a lottery.
“Food Court de, Mata Ashita.” is currently serialized on the manga distribution site Comic Newtype (KADOKAWA). The story follows Wada, who appears to be a refined, high-class young lady difficult to approach, and Yamamoto, a tanned, blonde girl with a gyaru-style appearance often misunderstood by others. Despite their contrasting images, the two meet daily at the food court and share ordinary yet endearing conversations.
The anime is directed by Kazuomi Koga, known for works like “Rent-A-Girlfriend,” with Toki Hanada overseeing the series composition. Animation production is handled by Atelier Pontdarc. Voice actresses Hiyori Miyazaki (Wada) and Yoshino Aoyama (Yamamoto) will bring the characters to life, alongside notable talents Saori Hayami and Jun Fukuyama, who are also part of the cast.
Fans can expect a charming, slice-of-life anime that captures the essence of everyday friendship, set against the relatable backdrop of a local food court.
Stay tuned for further updates as the premiere date approaches!
