Samsung Exynos 2600 processor specifications revealed: switch to octa-core design, GPU increased by 62%

Passionategeekz On June 17, it was reported that the Samsung Exynos 2600 processor built using a 2nm process technology will adopt an eight-core design instead of the current ten-core architecture.And the GPU score improvement has reached 62%

OreXDA revealed on X platform today that the Exynos 2600 processor will use 2 Cortex-X large cores plus 6 Cortex-A energy-efficiency cores 8 Nuclear architecturecloser to the configuration solution of Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition, rather than the current 10-core Exynos 2400.

It was revealed that the single-core running score of Exynos 2600 is expected to reach about 2400 and multi-core 9400.Increased by 20% and 15% respectively compared to Exynos 2400

The Xclipse 960 GPU equipped with the new processor is expected to achieve a score of 5,800 in the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme test.Up to 62% higher than Exynos 2400’s Xclipse 940(Data from NotebookCheck); GFXBench Aztec Ruins test score is expected to reach 85FPS (test resolution is not clear).

Passionategeekz reported last weekforeign media said that although the current trial production yield of Samsung’s 2nm process is only about 30%, its new Exynos 2600 processor has entered the mass production stage of prototype chips, and Samsung’s LSI chip design department and Samsung foundry are actively improving the yield of this process.
