According to Passionategeekz, the latest tablet of OnePlus is OnePlus Tablet 2 Pro. It will be launched in May 2025 and is equipped with an LCD screen with a resolution of 13.2 inches 3392*2400 and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. Looking back, OnePlus has not yet launched a small-sized tablet in the 8-inch level.
In addition to OnePlus, Redmi will also launch a small-screen tablet this month – REDMI K Pad. The REDMI K Pad has customized an 8.8-inch 3K LCD screen. It is Xiaomi’s first tablet with dual USB-C interfaces, and it also supports the same bypass charging Plus function as the K80 Supreme Edition.

There are also reports that Huawei may also enter the small-size tablet market.
According to Passionategeekz, the main reasons why small screen tablets are sought after by manufacturers this year include their portability and cost-effectiveness. Small-screen tablets usually weigh between 300-450g, filling the gap between the mobile phone and the large-screen tablet. They are neither as limited in view and poor in heat dissipation as mobile phones, nor as bulky as large-screen tablets. In addition, the small screen tablet is positioned at a price of 2,000 yuan to 3,000 yuan, and has the characteristics of good battery life and good audio and video performance, which makes them more competitive in the market.
