The NFC 15 version will extend the scope of contactless interactions—also known as work capacity.This innovation means connections will start faster and require less accuracy for device alignmentmaking NFC faster, more reliable and easier to use than ever before. Contactless connections will be more seamless, while still requiring users to clarify their intentions.
The NFC 15 version also marks the latest step in NFC Forum’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, as one of its core concerns isSupport NFC digital product passport standard. The standard provides brands and product teams with a flexible, data-independent framework that allows single NFC tags embedded in the product to store and transmit standard and extended DPP data using the common NFC Data Exchange Format (NDEF) record. Therefore, NFC 15 version will help ensure reliability, interoperability, and compatibility between all NFC devices for DPP throughout the product lifecycle.
