New TV special for Kaguya-Sama: Love IS was announced

The production of a new TV special with the title “Kaguya-Sama: The steps to adulthood” (Kaguya-Sama: Love IS War-The Stairway to Adulthood) was officially confirmed. Appropriately, a central visual was published, which shows the main characters in front of a starting aircraft and may emphasize the symbolic transition to a new phase of life – in the spirit of the title theme “grow up”.

The picture is focused on the protagonists Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane together with other members of the Schuchi’in Academy. The composition seems to underline the change and development of the characters, which is already looking forward to fans.

The series “Kaguya-Sama: Love IS War”, based on the manga of Aka Akasaka, tells of two highly intelligent students: inside, which-driven by mutual affection and pride-are in an amusing and emotional competition for the confession of their feelings. This mix of psychological cat-and-mouse game and romanticism has given the series very popular worldwide.

Already from April to June 2025 there was a selection of special episodes under the title “Kaguya-Sama: Memories Selection”. The new Special ties in with this project. However, concrete broadcast dates have not yet been announced.

The manga, published from 2015 to 2022, sold over 19 million times. In addition to three successful anime seasons, the story was also adapted in the main roles as a live action film with Hiroshi Kamiya and Kanna Hashimoto in 2021. Fans can be excited to see how things are going on.
