Motorola is preparing to introduce its new premium smartphone, the Motorola Signature 27, in India on November 5, 2026. The phone is the company’s latest attempt to compete in the ultra-premium smartphone market.

The device has already attracted attention because of its new Snapdragon processor, a 200MP periscope camera and a partnership with Bang & Olufsen for audio tuning. Motorola is also promising seven years of software updates, making the phone a serious option for people who plan to keep their devices for several years.

Motorola has confirmed the key hardware highlights, but the Indian price and final retail configurations remain to be announced at the time of writing.

Flagship Snapdragon performance

The Signature 27 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile platform. It is designed to handle demanding games, heavy multitasking, advanced camera processing and modern on-device AI features.

Motorola has also upgraded its ArcticMesh cooling system. The new design includes a 3D vapour chamber that is around 40 percent larger than the previous generation. It also uses diamond-infused thermal gel and other heat-transfer materials to move heat away from the processor.

Better cooling matters because a powerful processor cannot deliver its best performance if the phone becomes too hot during long gaming sessions or video recording.

200MP periscope camera takes centre stage

The camera system is one of the biggest highlights of the Signature 27. It features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.

The periscope camera supports Motorola’s Super Zoom Pro feature, which can reach up to 100x using generative AI processing. This is designed to help users photograph distant subjects without needing a separate camera.

However, 100x zoom relies heavily on software processing. Real camera quality will need to be judged through actual samples, especially when shooting at night or capturing moving subjects.

The Sony LYTIA sensor is designed to capture a wide range of light and detail. This could help when taking photos in difficult lighting conditions and recording videos with bright highlights and dark shadows.

Bang & Olufsen audio and long software support

Motorola has partnered with Bang & Olufsen for the Signature 27. It is the first Motorola smartphone to carry this audio partnership.

The sound experience includes different listening modes for music, movies, gaming and podcasts. The goal is to provide a more refined audio experience through the phone’s speakers.

The company is also promising seven years of Android operating system upgrades and security updates. This is an important feature at the premium price level because buyers expect their expensive phones to remain useful and secure for a long time.

India price and availability

Motorola has scheduled the India reveal for November 5. The exact Indian price, bank discounts, exchange offers and first sale date should be checked against the official launch announcement.

Some reports have suggested a starting price around ₹79,999, but Motorola has not confirmed this figure. It should not be presented as the final retail price.

The company is also yet to confirm all the final details of the Indian retail configurations. Battery capacity, charging speeds and display specifications should be checked against the official launch sheet rather than early leaks.

The seven-year update promise is another positive. However, the final price will decide whether the phone is a strong value or an expensive alternative to established flagship models.

We will be watching the official Indian pricing, battery specifications, camera samples and sale offers closely.
