Passionategeekz June 24th news, Microsoft today Windows 11 Push Dev preview version Build 26200.5661 and Beta push preview version Build 26120.4452. The corresponding update content is consistent. It mainly adds a new homepage for the Recall function, and supports changing the volume/brightness bar position. It fixes the bug in turning on the wrong playback of Windows Vista startup sound.

Recall review feature added homepage

Microsoft has introduced a new personalized homepage for Recall, mainly displaying users’ recent activities and the most commonly used content:

  • Recent snapshots: The latest snapshot captured by Recall helps you quickly return to the previous interrupted location.

  • Popular applications and websites: Featured views of the top three apps you most used in the past 24 hours with websites.

Microsoft said users can set filters for Recall in settings to decide which apps and website snapshots will be saved.

In addition, Microsoft has added a navigation bar to the Recall function, allowing users to more intuitively access major functions such as homepage, timeline, feedback and settings. The core functionality of Recall remains the same, but the user experience has been improved.

Added support for users to adjust the volume bar/brightness bar/air mode notification position on the screen, which can be changed to be placed in the upper left corner or the center of the top of the screen.

Start Menu

Microsoft has added a Boolean value to the IT administrator’s “Configure Start Menu Fixed Items” policy, allowing administrators to apply fixed items only when they are initially set. In this way, users will see fixed items preset by the administrator when using them for the first time, but they can freely modify their start menu layout. This policy can be enabled through an existing Configuration Service Provider (CSP).
