Passionategeekz On June 18, Microsoft announced on the 16th local time that two sovereign private cloud service solutions, Azure Local and Microsoft 365 Local, have now launched a preview version and will be officially released later this year.

Some countries or regions (such as Europe) and organizations have strict requirements on the physical environment of cloud workloads, and Azure Local can provide Microsoft cloud services on customer-owned or selected infrastructurehelp customers meet specific data retention and sovereignty requirements.

Azure Local provides core Azure capabilities such as compute, storage, networking, and virtualization services, while providing a consistent management and developer experience. The Microsoft 365 Local built on it can achieve controllability of the productivity suite cloud server.

In addition to private clouds, Microsoft said its sovereign public cloud for all Microsoft cloud service customers is currently in the preview phase and will be officially launched later this year in all European cloud regions.
