Meizu has officially introduced its latest flagship, the Meizu 22, in China. The device boasts a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED flat display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, peak brightness of 6000 nits, and RuRan Eye Protection Technology for hardware-level low blue light and full-range DC dimming. With ultra-thin 1.2mm bezels on all sides, Meizu claims it sets a new record for its flagship series.
Under the hood, the Meizu 22 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. To ensure efficient performance, it includes a 4500mm² VC liquid cooling system. The phone runs on Android 15-based Flyme AIOS 2, which introduces features like Small Window Mode 5.0, Game Assistant, Call Assistant, Smart Travel, and advanced AI tools such as AI Drawing, AI Filters, and one-click pedestrian removal.
For optics, the Meizu 22 packs a 50MP triple rear camera setup featuring a 50MP wide-angle OmniVision OV50H sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with 2.5cm macro, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with OIS and telephoto macro capabilities. On the front, there’s a 50MP ultra-wide camera designed for high-quality selfies and video calls. The phone also comes with LEICA branding, stereo speakers, and an ultrasonic 3D Sonic fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity and durability are top-notch, with IP66 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance, UWB digital key support, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and advanced antenna technology for stronger signal reception. The Meizu 22 also integrates Flyme Auto 2 for car-machine connectivity and Flyme Link for multi-device interaction.
Powering the device is a 5510mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 66W wireless charging. Meizu has also announced a Return to China Flagship Limited Edition with customized UI, special design, accessories, and commemorative plaques.
