Lantu FREE + model pre-sale on June 24: First equipped with Huawei ADS 4.0 and Hongmeng Cockpit 5, matched with Beston shock absorbers

As a facelifted model of the current Lantu FREE, the car is equipped with Huawei’s latest intelligent assisted driving ADS 4.0 and HarmonySpace HongmengCockpit 5, with 6 body colors including Du Ruobai, Xuanying Black, Chenxing Gray, Yunsha Gold, Glazed Purple and Shaohua Qing.

According to reports, the front grille of the car is enclosed, with the headlights on both sides connected by black trim panels, the body is matched with hidden door handles, and the rear surround is adjusted on the basis of retaining the original light group. The cabin in the car adopts a “floating light island” design style, equipped with a 15.6-inch screen, and provides three interiors, namely amber brown, deep sea blue and aurora purple.

According to the data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the length, width and height of Lantu FREE + are 4915x1960x1660mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2960mm. Compared with the current model, the body length and width are each increased by 10mm, the height is increased by 15mm, and the wheelbase remains unchanged. In addition, the new car will offer two different specifications and shapes of rims for consumers to choose from, 20-inch and 21-inch.

In terms of intelligent driving, the roof of Lantu FREE + has added overhead lidar, and cameras are also equipped with multiple positions such as the front fender and the rear spoiler. Officials said that the new car will be equipped with Huawei Gankun ADS4 driving assistance system, but the specific hardware information has not been released yet.

In terms of chassis, Lantu Automobile revealed that the FREE+ model uses the “EDC variable magic carpet chassis” and is equipped with the same Beston shock absorber as the “Million-Million Luxury Car Porsche”. This shock absorber is equipped with a solenoid valve inside, which can detect road conditions in real time through multiple built-in lidars of the vehicle, adjust the damping in the shock absorber according to the dynamics of the wheels and body, realize rapid switching of damping force, and adapt to road surfaces in different situations.

According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Lantu FREE + will be equipped with an extended-range power system composed of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, and will be provided with two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. Among them, the maximum net power of the 1.5T engine is 95kW, the maximum power of the two-wheel drive version is 215kW, and the maximum power of the front and rear motors of the four-wheel drive version is 135kW and 215kW respectively. In terms of battery life, the new car will be matched with a 43.2kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, the two-wheel drive model has a pure electric range of 235/225km, and the four-wheel drive model has a pure electric range of 196/190km.
