The Kodak Luma 500 portable projector was recently launched by the authorized manufacturer C+A Global. This compact device is specifically designed for mobile use, making it ideal for outdoor environments. It features a built-in 10,500 mAh battery, although it’s important to note that its brightness is only 150 ANSI lumens.
When projecting from a distance of about 3.8 meters, the projector can achieve a sizable 150-inch screen, thanks to its projection ratio of 1.2:1. However, the limited brightness may hinder the quality of the projection, leaving some uncertainty about achieving the best visual experience.
The Kodak Luma 500 boasts a nominal resolution of 1080P and employs DLP technology. Its dimensions are approximately 12.7 by 12.7 by 3.3 centimeters, and it weighs about 544 grams. It operates on the built-in Google TV 11 system, which allows users to stream content from popular platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ without the need for additional devices.
Moreover, the projector supports WiFi connectivity and has a surprisingly low input delay of just 30 milliseconds at a 60Hz refresh rate when connected via HDMI. Currently, the Kodak Luma 500 is available on Amazon, with a price tag of US$699, which translates to around RMB 5,039 at the current exchange rate.
