[CNMO Technology News]On June 17, Xu Ran, vice chairman of JD Group SEC and CEO of JD Group, revealed in an interview with Sina Technology and other media that JD Takeaway business has developed rapidly since its launch three months ago, and the scale of full-time riders has continued to expand. The per capita monthly income of riders in first-tier cities has reached nearly 13,000 yuan.
Xu Ran said that since JD.com’s takeaway business went online, the daily order volume has exceeded 25 million orders, far exceeding management expectations. This achievement is due to JD.com’s firm pursuit of quality takeaway and its full protection of riders’ rights and interests. At present, JD Takeout has exceeded 120,000 full-time riders, and it is expected to exceed 150,000 by the end of this quarter. In first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the per capita monthly income of full-time riders is close to 13,000 yuan, which is a significant increase from before they joined JD Takeaway.
Xu Ran emphasized that JD Takeaway has invested a lot of energy in rider recruitment and management. The HR team is in a “very working state” to meet the signing needs of a large number of riders in a short period of time. At the same time, JD Takeaway provides riders with complete welfare benefits such as five insurances and one fund, and does not deduct riders’ wages due to social security, truly achieving a double increase in rider income and benefits.
When talking about the strategic purpose of the takeaway business, Xu Ran said that JD Takeaway is not only for commercial interests, but also for creating more job opportunities and promoting the healthy development of the industry. She believes that the competition in the takeaway industry is not an inverse, but can drive the overall progress of the industry, allow consumers to enjoy better services, and allow merchants who are attentive to make quality food to obtain a better operating environment.
In addition, Xu Ran also introduced the latest progress in quality assurance of JD Takeaway. JD Takeaway has pioneered the video verification function of LBS positioning in the industry to ensure the authenticity of merchants’ entry; upload the GPS positioning function of riders to check the rider’s meal pickup position and the merchant’s business license position; at the same time, it initiates national supervision to encourage riders, consumers and media to report illegal merchants and jointly maintain the quality takeaway environment.
