[CNMO Technology News]At the 2025 Huawei Developer Conference (HDC), Huawei officially announced the launch of HarmonyOS 6 developer beta version testing, and fully demonstrated the construction achievements of the Hongmeng ecosystem over the past year and over.
Yu Chengdong, executive director of Huawei and chairman of Terminal BG, said that Hongmeng ecosystem has entered a new stage of flywheel development. At present, more than 40 Huawei terminal products are equipped with HarmonyOS 5 system, more than 9,000 applications have participated in the co-construction of more than 70 system-level innovative experiences, and more than 30,000 Hongmeng native applications and meta-services are being developed and updated rapidly, forming a prosperous ecosystem with the participation of thousands of industries and industries.
The HarmonyOS 6 released this time brings a new interconnection architecture and a smarter interactive experience, further improving the collaboration capabilities of all scenario devices. The conference also launched the Hongmeng Armor Framework (HMAF), committed to building an AI ecosystem with independent decision-making and group collaboration capabilities, and promoting the evolution of human-computer interaction from graphical interface (GUI) to language-based interface (LUI).
To improve development efficiency, Huawei has launched a new AI-assisted development tool DevEco CodeGenie, which can significantly improve code rewriting, problem positioning and UI generation efficiency. At the same time, through the new paradigm of multi-end deployment at one time, developers can cover multiple devices and multiple scenarios more efficiently. In order to further inspire innovation, Huawei also launched the “Hongmeng Starlight Plan”, investing a total of 100 million yuan in cash and resources to support campus developers and technical talents to explore the infinite possibilities of the Hongmeng ecosystem.
