[CNMO Technology Information]On June 17, according to the latest data from Canalys, the shipments of the Chinese mainland tablet market in the first quarter of 2025 were 8.7 million units, an increase of 19% year-on-year compared with the first quarter of last year.
From the perspective of brands, Huawei ranks first with 2.3 million units shipments, with a market share of 26%; Apple followed closely with a shipment of 2.1 million units; Xiaomi ranks third with 1.4 million units, accounting for 16% of the market share; Honor and Lenovo rank fourth and fifth respectively, with shipments of 900,000 units and 500,000 units respectively; other brands have a total market share of 17%, with a shipment of 1.5 million units.
Analysts at the agency added: Driven by ongoing government subsidies, mainland Chinese tablet manufacturers (such as Huawei) dominated this round of growth in the first quarter of 2025. In order to cope with this change, major manufacturers are actively expanding their product lines, focusing on usage scenarios such as gaming and productivity, and launching high-end models equipped with OLED screens.
Canalys predictive analysis pointed out that benefiting from product innovation and competitive pricing, the mainland Chinese tablet computer market is expected to achieve a year-on-year growth of 5% in 2025.
It is worth mentioning that the “Quarterly Tracking Report of China Tablet Computer Market in the First Quarterly of 2025” previously released by international data company IDC shows that in the first quarter of 2025, the shipments of China’s tablet computer market reached 8.52 million units, an increase of 19.5% over the same period last year. Among them, Huawei ranks first with a market share of 34.5%.
