Passionategeekz June 15th news, Search Engine Land discovered that Google is testing “no skip ads” for up to 30 seconds in regular YouTube ads.

This form is said to have been limited to premium ad slots previously available through YouTube reservation purchases. This new advertising format will coexist with existing 15-second long ads and 6-second buffered ads. Advertisers can serve through keywords, audiences and other targeting methods, which is consistent with the existing in-stream advertising format.

Anthony Higman, founder and CEO of advertising company ADSQUIRE, said on LinkedIn:

Ads cannot be skipped in 15 seconds. Because of their balance of duration and effect, they have been favored by advertisers for a long time – they can not only force users to watch, but will not appear too intrusive. We think users will also watch 30 seconds of ads.
