[CNMO Technology News]According to previous leaks, Samsung Z Flip7 will be available in two chip versions: the European and Korean versions use Samsung’s self-developed Exynos 2500, and the Chinese and American versions use Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile platform. However, the latest revelations show that Samsung may fully adopt self-developed chips in the Z Flip7. If this change is true, it will be a major adjustment for Samsung to make its high-end mobile chip strategy.
According to the latest news, Samsung Z Flip7 is expected to be officially released on July 9, 2025. The phone is expected to be the first Samsung flagship device to fully adopt the Exynos 2500 in the global market. There have been rumors that the Exynos 2500 will only appear in the Korean local version, but the latest report corrects this.
The Exynos 2500 is Samsung’s first mobile processor based on the 3nm fully surround gate (GAA) process, aiming to improve energy efficiency and heat dissipation. Its CPU is configured with a 10-core architecture, including a Cortex-X5 (X925) super-large core with a main frequency of 3.3GHz, three performance cores (two of which are 2.74GHz A725 cores), five more efficient A725 small cores (2.36GHz), and two energy-saving Cortex-A520 cores (1.8GHz). In terms of GPU, it uses an Xclipse 950 GPU based on AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture, which supports ray tracing and 8K video decoding. In addition, the chip is also equipped with an NPU with a computing power of 59 TOPS, which enhances AI computing capabilities.
It is worth mentioning that Samsung’s large folding screen phone Z Fold 7 seems to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile platform.
