The Italian luxury car maker has started selling hybrid models since 2019 and is preparing to launch its first pure electric vehicle (EV) in the spring of next year through a “three-step” process this October. The first batch of customers are expected to complete delivery in October 2026. Passionategeekz will remain focused on it in the future.

Reuters said Ferrari had originally planned to launch its second EV model around the end of 2026, but it has now been extended for about two years. Reuters said that “the market demand for real and sustainable electric sports cars does not exist.”

The postponement will also provide Ferrari with additional time to further develop internal technology for its second electric vehicle. However, the lack of market interest is still the main reason for the postponement. Even if the technical specifications are upgraded, it may be difficult to increase too many user needs.
