The battle between Cardano (ADA) and Solana (SOL) is becoming increasingly exciting. Both projects are among the top of the Altcoin market, but who really has the best cards for a possible price explosion by 2026?

According to analysts, Cardano may be a more attractive risk-to-repward ratio in this cycle than Solana. Especially if you measure profit in Bitcoin terms. And that makes the comparison extra interesting.
Cardano’s daring plan: Bitcoin in the treasury
At the beginning of this year, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson presented to convert 5–10% of the $ 1.2 billion in ADA in the treasury to Bitcoin and Stablecoins. The goal? Generate annual yields and reinvest them in ADA, in order to build a solid ecosystem fund.
Some think it is a smart, sustainable move. Others, including Solana’s founder, even called it “stupid”, and suggest that confidence in Ada itself is missing. Opinions are therefore divided, but the plan in any case bears witness to long -term vision.
Who performs better against Bitcoin?
If you sell Ada and Sol against Bitcoin (in Satoshis), it is striking that Cardano is currently noting around 600 SATS, with a potential to rise to 1300 SATS (+117%). With a bad market it could fall to 400 SATS (-33%).

Solana is a lot higher, around 14,500 sats. The upside towards 20,000 SATS is smaller (+38%), with a possible loss towards 10,000 SATS (-31%). Simply put: Cardano has more room to rise precisely because it has fallen rather faster.
And what about ETFs?
Solana currently has a 91% chance of a spot ETF approval in 2025, while Cardano is 67%. That can become an important catalyst for both coins. Yet some analysts think that, despite the lower ETF opportunity, Cardano is more attractive because of the larger races potential.
That’s how influencer Alex Becker thinks A possible 5x to 8x rise in ADA, and he states that Cardano could surpass Solana in this cycle.
Conclusion: which do you choose?
Both Cardano and Solana are strong projects with a great future. Solana is fast, popular and institutionally interesting. But if you look at space for recovery, a races potential against BTC and the plans for a solid ecosystem, then Cardano comes out surprisingly strongly.
Which Altcoin you choose naturally depends on your risk profile. But when we look at 2026, Ada currently seems to be the underdog with the biggest leap power.
