Passionategeekz According to blogger @Xiaodi Express today, the BYD Xi’an transport ship has been delivered and set sail, which is the world’s largest LNG dual-fuel vehicle transport ship (9,200 capacity).
Passionategeekz noticed that in 2022, BYD announced that it would spend 5 billion yuan to order 8 special roll-ro-ship ships that can carry more than 7,000 cars, 2 were manufactured by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International, and 6 were built by CIMC Raffles, all of which were propelled by liquefied natural gas and fuel.
Delivery progress:

In January 2024, the first BYD Ro-Ro-ship “Trail Blazers 1” was launched from Xiaomo Port, Shenzhen, and loaded 4,000 electric vehicles to head for Europe;

In December 2024, the second Ro-ro-ro ship “Changzhou” was delivered;

In January 2025, the third Ro-ro-ship “Hefei”, BYD fleet, was delivered and set sail;
