The ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMS is a new addition to the brand’s lineup of gaming monitors, featuring a large 27-inch IPS display that boasts an impressive resolution of 2560 × 1440. One of its standout specifications is an update frequency that can be overclocked to an astonishing 320 Hz, complemented by a rapid response time of just 0.3 ms. This monitor is designed for gamers, with a color reproduction capability that covers 130% of the sRGB color space and 94% of the DCI-P3 spectrum, ensuring vibrant and accurate visuals.
Each unit is factory-calibrated to deliver precise color rendering right out of the box. Additionally, the monitor supports G-Sync and FreeSync Premium technologies, and features ELMB SYNC to effectively minimize motion blur, enhancing the overall gaming experience. ASUS’s Variable Overdrive technology intelligently adjusts the overclocking level based on the frame rate, further optimizing performance.
In terms of connectivity, the XG27ACMS is well-equipped with ports including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI, and USB Type-C, the latter supporting DP ALT mode and charging of up to 15 watts. A headphone jack is also included for convenience. Furthermore, the monitor incorporates the Gameplus AI feature, which dynamically adjusts the on-screen reticle according to the game’s action, along with a Dynamic Shadow Boost function that enhances visibility in dark scenes without compromising brightness in lighter areas.
For user-friendly customization, the Displaywidget Center program allows adjustments to monitor settings using a mouse, bypassing the need for physical buttons. Ergonomically designed, the stand offers adjustable height up to 120 mm, as well as options for rotation (up to 45 degrees) and tilt (between 5 and 20 degrees). The base is also thoughtfully equipped with a built-in phone holder and a tripod mount.
