Reports from industry sources suggest that the iQOO 15 Ultra is still in a pending state and has not yet been fully confirmed. While the standard iQOO 15 is scheduled for release this month in China, the Ultra model remains uncertain, and even if it is introduced, it may only arrive in the first half of next year.

According to IT Home, a well-known blogger noted that among Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 super cup models, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is expected to stand out with a dual telephoto lens setup and a 200-megapixel main sensor. The iQOO 15 Ultra, meanwhile, is still under internal evaluation. This has left many potential buyers debating between the two devices, but the blogger emphasized that the iQOO 15 Ultra is not yet finalized for release.

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra is confirmed to launch next year, but details on whether the iQOO 15 Ultra will join the lineup remain uncertain. Discussions in the comment sections suggest that the so-called iQOO 15U referenced by the blogger is indeed pointing toward the Ultra model.

On the other hand, the iQOO 15 has already been confirmed and will debut as the official competition phone for the 2025 KPL Annual Finals. It will be the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor and the company’s self-developed Q3 gaming chip. The handset is positioned as a high-performance flagship, optimized for professional-level gaming.

The iQOO 15 is expected to arrive with top-tier hardware, including a 16GB + 1TB configuration, a 6.8-inch 2K Samsung Everest display with 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision certification, and 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling. It also features a large Blue Ocean battery exceeding 7000mAh, 100W wired charging, wireless charging support, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

On the imaging side, the phone is said to include a 50MP 1/1.5-inch main camera, a 50MP 1/2-inch telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and vivo’s NICE algorithm enhancements. Additional highlights include Eye Protection 2.0, super-resolution compatibility with over 180 game titles, advanced vibration motors, dual speakers, and IP-rated durability.

While the iQOO 15 Ultra’s fate remains uncertain, the standard iQOO 15 looks set to push boundaries in mobile gaming and performance. More details are expected to be revealed at its official launch later this month.
