Realme GT 8 Pro Confirmed With 2K 144Hz AMOLED Display, 7,000mAh Battery and 200MP Periscope Camera

Realme has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Realme GT 8 Pro will launch in October in China, alongside the standard GT 8. A fresh teaser by company executive Derek has highlighted major display and battery upgrades for the Pro variant, making it a standout in the upcoming flagship lineup.

According to Derek, the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a 2K AMOLED display, marking an upgrade from the previous 1.5K resolution. The refresh rate has been bumped up from 120Hz to 144Hz, while peak brightness has been enhanced from 6,000 nits to an impressive 7,000 nits. Realme has also redesigned the panel, moving away from a curved screen to a flat display with larger R-corners, delivering a modern and durable look.

To improve eye comfort, Realme has introduced global full-brightness DC dimming as a default setting, a 1-nit eye-care mode, and circular polarisation protection. Additionally, colour accuracy has been taken a step further with hardware-level chip calibration instead of software-level calibration, ensuring superior visual quality.

Derek also confirmed that despite the increased power demands of a 2K screen, Realme has managed to integrate a massive 7,000mAh-class battery into the device. This breakthrough in battery energy density ensures that users will get both stunning visuals and long-lasting performance without compromise.

Another key highlight is the camera setup. A teaser poster confirms that the Realme GT 8 Pro will sport a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. According to Marketing Communication Director Aric Song, the periscope lens will support 3x optical zoom and up to 12x lossless zoom, offering flagship-grade photography capabilities.
