Vivo is gearing up to launch its new mid-range device, the Vivo Y31 5G, in India after appearing on the Google Play Console and Geekbench listings. Ahead of the official unveiling, its design, specifications, storage variants, color choices, and Indian pricing have now surfaced online, giving a clear picture of what customers can expect.

The Vivo Y31 5G sports a flat-edge design similar to the upcoming Y21d, featuring a pill-shaped vertically aligned rear camera module that houses dual sensors alongside a ring LED notification light. The front gets a punch-hole display with thin bezels and a slightly thicker chin. It also boasts IP68/69-rated durability and is equipped with a massive 6500mAh battery for extended use.
In terms of cameras, the device packs a 50MP primary sensor at the back, complemented by an 8MP portrait selfie camera. Vivo has also included AI-based tools such as AI Erase and Circle to Search for an enhanced photography experience. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with the Adreno 613 GPU, delivering efficient performance. It will ship with Android 15 out of the box and a HD+ display (720 x 1608 pixels, 300 DPI density).
For storage, buyers will get two choices — 4GB RAM + 128GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB. These are priced at ₹14,999 and ₹16,499 respectively. The phone will be available in Purple and Green color options, following Vivo’s recent design language for its Y-series devices.
The Vivo Y31 5G shares some similarities with the Y21d but brings key upgrades including the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and refreshed internals. With its big battery, durable build, and competitive pricing, the device is likely to attract budget-conscious 5G users in India.
