Xiaomi has officially announced two major smartphone launches this month, targeting both the Chinese and Indian markets. The Redmi Note 15 Pro series will make its debut in China on August 21, while Indian buyers will see the arrival of the Redmi 15 5G on August 19.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Series (China Launch)
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series will include two models — the Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro Plus. Xiaomi has released official images of the Note 15 Pro Plus, showcasing a fresh design with a curved frame and curved display for a premium look. The rear panel houses a large round camera module with three sensors, led by a 50MP primary shooter with OIS support.

Performance-wise, the Note 15 Pro Plus has been spotted on Geekbench under model number 2510ERA8BC, running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It scored 1228 in single-core and 3230 in multi-core tests, paired with up to 16GB RAM. While the new chip is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, it still sits below the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in terms of raw power.
Certification listings further confirm that the Note 15 Pro Plus will support 90W fast charging. A separate model, 25104RADAC, has been spotted with Beidou satellite messaging support. This is expected to debut as the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus Satellite Edition, marking Xiaomi’s first smartphone with satellite communication.
Redmi 15 5G (India Launch)
Just two days before the China launch, Xiaomi will introduce the Redmi 15 5G in India on August 19. The phone is already creating buzz for its massive 7,000mAh battery and a 6.9-inch display offering up to 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling rate. The screen is tipped to be a Full HD+ LCD panel with Wet Touch Technology 2.0 for easier use with wet hands.
Under the hood, the Redmi 15 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, paired with HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. Buyers can expect configurations of up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Redmi also teased AI-based features including Google’s Circle to Search integration.
With these launches, Xiaomi is clearly targeting two distinct audiences — the Redmi Note 15 Pro series in China for premium mid-range buyers, and the Redmi 15 5G in India for those seeking a powerful yet affordable 5G device with standout battery and display features.
