[CNMO Technology News]Recently, relevant news revealed that the Quest 3S Xbox version headset launched by Microsoft and Meta will be officially unveiled on June 24, with a price of US$399 (approximately RMB 2,870). Previously, pictures of the packaging box of the device had been leaked online.
According to Passionategeekz, this headset uses the iconic Xbox black and green color scheme, which is highly recognizable in appearance and is paired with 128GB of storage space to meet users’ basic needs for content storage. The set includes a consistently color-set Elite Strap Elite Headband and Xbox controller, and also provides players with a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Compared with the standard version of Quest 3S, the Xbox version is $100 higher, but from the overall consumption perspective, if you purchase the Quest 3S, Elite Strap, Xbox controller and Game Pass subscription combination, the cost will be higher, and the Xbox version can actually save about $100. It is worth noting that the Meta Touch controller is not seen in the leaked packaging image. Considering that the Meta Quest series headsets have fully supported gesture operations, it is not clear whether this special version will cancel the support for the Touch controller.
According to analysis, Microsoft’s experience in game ecosystem construction, hardware adaptation, etc., combined with Meta’s advantages in VR hardware research and development and user base accumulation, it is expected to expand VR game application scenarios and attract more players to participate in the VR game experience.
