Foreign media speculated that this is likely to be that Samsung is trying a brand new rear design to distinguish it from the previous Z Flip models. The enlarged close-up shows the square module in more detail, indicating that this is not just a raised camera, it may also include other sensors or components.

Some images also show a flip-style folding device that is consistent with Samsung’s Z Flip series. There is a distinct horizontal folding line in the middle of the unit, with rounded corners and a flat front screen. The keys appear to be on the right, while the other views may be showing the USB-C port and speaker grille.

In addition, the cross-sectional view also shows the internal folding mechanism. These figures suggest a hinge system that supports full folding, partial folding and unfolding states.
