Xiaomi has introduced a new Transparent Special Edition for the Xiaomi 18 Pro series in China, and the design looks like a playful answer to Nothing’s transparent smartphone style. The red finish shows circuit-style details on the rear while keeping the flagship hardware underneath.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Transparent Edition features a 6.4-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 2nm processor, Leica cameras and a 7000mAh battery. It also gets a 2.7-inch 120Hz OLED rear display, 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and a 4355mm² VC cooling system.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Transparent Edition takes things further with a 6.9-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED display, 2.9-inch rear OLED display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 2nm chipset. It packs an 8500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging and uses a larger 5513mm² VC cooling system.
Both models feature Leica camera systems with a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, 200MP periscope telephoto camera and 50MP front camera. They also support LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, Android 17 with HyperOS 4, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, UWB and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanning.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Transparent Special Edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage costs 9,999 yuan, around ₹1.39 lakh based on the supplied conversion. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Transparent Special Edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage costs 10,999 yuan, around ₹1.57 lakh.
These are Chinese prices and are not official India prices. Xiaomi has confirmed the 18 Pro series will go global, but India availability for the Transparent Special Editions has not yet been confirmed.
