Wind Breaker – Episode 24

The episode begins with a celebration in the “Hidaka Diner”, at which Roppo Ichiza, Furin members and the former Gravel fighters (under Suzuri’s leadership) celebrate Shizuka’s rescue and Suzuri’s integration in Keisei Street. The relaxed atmosphere is suddenly interrupted when Yamato Endo, a former furin student and legendary figure, appears. He reveals himself as the client of Shizuka’s kidnapping and provokes the group.

Endo in particular confronts Sakura, criticizes his belonging to Furin and claims that his potential is restricted by the team. A fight threatens, but Suzuri is protecting in front of the group and takes responsibility for Endo’s mandate. Surprisingly, Endo – not because of remorse, but from a “mood” – and announces to regulate the actual back man (an “old man”). His enigmatic remark of having a “card against Furin” ensures discomfort.

After Endo’s deduction, the group returns to the diner. Suzuri apologizes again, but Sakura emphasizes that endos action alone should be condemned. In a symbolic final scene, Suzuri discovers his passion for video games – supported by the group that patiently teaches him. At the same time, Tsubaki and Kanji with Umemiya discuss endos threatening return and his interest in Sakura. The episode ends with a harbinger of new conflicts: Umemiya invites Sakura, Nirei and Suo to an urgent meeting of the “four kings”.
