- This micro drone is about 1.3 to 2 cm long.
- Its texture and flight is similar to mosquito.
- This can be controlled through smartphones.
According to a report by South China Morning Post, this drone is about 1.3 to 2 centimeters long, 3 cm wingspain and only 0.3 grams of vazni. Its texture and flight is similar to mosquito. It has thin legs like bayonic feathers and hair, which enables it to work almost invisible and extremely secretly. This drone can be controlled through smartphones. This microdron does not even sound at all. It can pass through narrow places and also dodge the radar.
This micro drone is a wonder of engineering
A video of this Microdron was recently aired on China’s TV channel, CCTV-7. In the video, this drone was shown holding university student Liang Hasiang between his two fingers. Hasiang reported that it is a mosquito -like bionic robot, suitable for collecting information in the battlefield and special operations. The drone has been added to sensors, power devices, control circuits and other technical components which is a sample of excellent nano engineering. In its construction, the cooperation of experts from areas like Micro device engineering, material science and bayonics was taken.
Microbotics is gaining momentum
Microbotics are now gaining momentum in the world. Many countries have been engaged in making medical equipment ranging from Sukshama drone. Norway has already made a micro drone called “Black Hornet”. Its size is as much as a person’s palm. It is a helicoptering drone, which is used for army personnel monitoring. It has cameras and sensors. Its latest version, Black Hornet 4 has been awarded the Blue UAS Refresh Award by the US Ministry of Defense. In 2019, scientists at Harvard University started work on Microdron called “Robobee”.
In 2021, the US Air Force also talked about preparing micro drones. However, since then, no new information has been revealed about the complete development or use of this technology. The field of microbotics is not limited to military use only. The use of micro and nanorobotics in medical science is also increasing rapidly in areas like Therapy, Surgery and Medical Imaging.
