Here’s the fun part: if the community reaches 50,000 taps by April 30, something special is promised to happen on Walpurgis Night—a magical date in folklore, celebrated at midnight. Participants who share their tap count on X (formerly Twitter) will also get a free exclusive smartphone wallpaper.
Silent Witch is based on a popular light novel by Matsuri Isora, with art by Nana Fujimi. The story follows Monica Everett, a quiet and shy genius who becomes the world’s first magician to use magic without chanting. Though she’s one of the most powerful magic users in the kingdom, Monica prefers to live alone in the mountains—until she’s given a secret mission to protect a prince at a noble academy.
The novel series, published by KADOKAWA, has sold over 750,000 copies and has a hit manga version too. The anime, coming in July, features Saya Aizawa as the voice of Monica.
With this creative and mysterious event, Silent Witch is already casting its spell on fans. Will the tap goal be met? And what surprise awaits on Walpurgis Night?
Stay tuned—something magical may be just around the corner.
