[CNMO Technology News]With the early release of the stable version of Android 16, Samsung’s customized system One UI 8 has also entered the final development stage. According to the latest news, Samsung is speeding up the development progress of One UI 8 and has launched relevant beta testing programs, which is not far from the official push.

Although Samsung has not officially announced the complete list of upgraded devices, based on its consistent transparent software update policy, some overseas media have compiled the S-series models that will be updated with One UI 8. This update will still cover multiple generations of S series phones, continuing Samsung’s strategy of providing long-term support to old models in recent years.

It is reported that the current Galaxy S24 series (S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE) will receive One UI 8 update, including the upcoming Galaxy S25 series (S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge). In addition, many models of the Galaxy S23 series and S22 series will continue to be supported, including Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE, S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra. It is worth noting that the Galaxy S21 FE is also on this update list, while the standard version of the S21 series is not included.

The reason for this arrangement is that the three models of Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra were originally equipped with Android 11 systems. According to Samsung’s current policy of “providing up to four generations of Android major version updates”, their system update cycle has basically ended. Since the S21 FE was released a little later and was equipped with Android 12 system after leaving the factory, it is still eligible for subsequent updates including One UI 8.
