The popular series ONE PIECE has announced an exciting development: a special recap episode focusing on Bonney and Kuma is set to air next week. As a result, Episode 1129 has been delayed and will now premiere on May 18. This upcoming episode, titled “Dr. Chopper’s Adventure Checkup – The Ballad of a Father and Daughter,” aims to retell the stories of Bonney and Kuma, preparing viewers for deeper insights into their past. Fans can catch a preview of the episode below, which will also be available on on Crunchyroll following Episode 1128.
The ONE PIECE manga, created by Eiichiro Oda, first debuted in July 1997 and has achieved remarkable success, surpassing 500 million circulating copies worldwide by August 2022. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022, the series’ anime adaptation began airing in October 1999 and continues to gain popularity. Currently, the manga features 1,147 chapters, with Chapter 1,148 releasing on May 12. Meanwhile, the anime stands at 1,128 episodes, having recently returned from a six-month hiatus aimed at enhancing its quality.
