After years of speculation and underwhelming progress, Intel surprised the industry in Q4 of last year by launching its second-generation Battlemage GPUs—Arc B580 and B570. These models targeted the mid-to-entry-level segment, positioning themselves against NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 and AMD’s RX 7600 XT. With solid performance and ample VRAM (12GB and 10GB respectively), they received decent reviews, but the lack of high-end options kept Intel from gaining serious traction among gamers and enthusiasts.

Now, it appears that may be about to change.
According to new reports from Wccftech citing Japanese outlet Gazlog, Intel is developing a new high-end Battlemage GPU based on the BMG-G31 chip. Industry insiders believe this card is the long-rumored—and once presumed canceled—Arc B770, potentially Intel’s first true mid-to-high-end graphics card.
Evidence supporting this includes a recent shipping manifest that showed BMG-G31 chips being transported to Intel’s facility in Vietnam, suggesting that the Arc B770 may already be in production. Adding fuel to the speculation, well-known leaker OneRaichu confirmed that the Arc B770 is indeed on its way.
Early rumors point to impressive specs: around 24 to 32 Xe2 cores, a 256-bit memory bus, and 16GB of GDDR6 memory. While specific benchmarks remain unknown, these specs position the B770 squarely against NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 5060, indicating a serious push from Intel into the enthusiast GPU space.
Wccftech suggests that Intel could unveil the Arc B770 as early as Computex 2025 in Taipei, which kicks off in just a few weeks.
