[CNMO Technology News]According to an interview report by Petapixel, the head of product development of Fujifilm revealed the company’s future planning and design concepts for these two products.
In a recent interview, Fujifilm said that their goal in designing the X-E5 is to provide young photographers with an “immersive” shooting experience. With the rekindling of interest in photography in recent years, especially the younger generation, Fuji believes that now is the best time to launch such a camera. To meet this demand, the X-E5 not only adds a new film analog dial, but also ensures that this new feature does not appear abrupt or destroys the overall aesthetic while maintaining the XE series’ consistent simple and elegant design.
In addition, based on feedback from X-E4 users, the X-E5 also specifically improves operability, such as adding a command dial. At the same time, the camera handle has been enhanced and the body surface treatment has been optimized. These changes are all to better respond to user needs. Although the 40-megapixel sensor became one of the focus of discussion, Fuji stressed that the reason for choosing this high-resolution sensor is that it can give photographers more freedom to crop and make full use of the company’s lens system.
Regarding the highly-watched X-Pro series, Fujifilm has made it clear that the series has not disappeared. In fact, the company has been committed to making the next generation X-Pro a special product to prevent it from becoming dull. Therefore, a lot of time and effort are invested in the development process. Fujifilm notes that X-Pro, like XE, is still listed on its product roadmap and will return to the market at some point in the future.
