[CNMO Technology News]After Google officially pushed the Android 16 update to Pixel devices last week, some users began to report that the system had serious interface and navigation operation problems, which affected the daily use of the device.

According to foreign media Android Headlines, after updating to Android 16 system, multiple users found that the return button and gesture operation response was abnormal, sometimes completely invalid, and sometimes the response was delayed for several seconds, resulting in the inability to return to the previous page normally, seriously affecting the operation experience.

On the Reddit platform, some users have shared that the button failure of their Pixel 8 is not working; a Pixel 9 Pro XL user said that the swipe up gesture is completely invalid; and Pixel 6 user said that multiple gesture operations are unresponsive. This phenomenon has occurred in multiple generations of Pixel models.

Artem Russakovskii, a well-known editor of Android Police, also posted on X that his device has only worked intermittently since it was updated with Android 16. He also attached a recorded video, which clearly showed that the screen was completely unresponsive when the problem occurred, and submitted the bug report to the Google Engineering Team.

However, it should be noted that not all users are currently experiencing this problem. For example, a user said that he did not see any exception after upgrading Android 16 on Pixel 9, which means that the problem may only affect devices of a specific batch or a combination of specific settings.

As of now, Google has not released an official statement on this issue. But as online feedback continues to increase, Google is expected to investigate and push fix updates soon.
