The HONOR Magic V3, already available in markets like China and Europe, is currently hailed as the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. Measuring just 9.2mm when folded and 4.3mm when unfolded, and weighing 226g, it brings a sleek yet durable design. The device features a 6.43-inch OLED cover screen and a 7.92-inch foldable OLED inner display, both with 120Hz LTPO refresh rates and high brightness levels, along with flicker-free PWM dimming for eye comfort.
Under the hood, the Magic V3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It runs Android 14 with MagicOS 8, offering AI-powered features such as Magic Text, Magic Portal, AI Eraser, and real-time translation. The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, alongside dual 20MP selfie cameras on the cover and inner displays.
Battery life is handled by a 5,150mAh silicon-carbon cell, supporting 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The build includes IPX8 water resistance and a titanium hinge rated for 500,000 folds, ensuring long-term durability. Pricing in India is expected to start around ₹1,05,999 for the 16GB+256GB model, with higher configurations likely costing more.
With the Magic V3 set to launch in India next month, it will pave the way for the Magic V5’s arrival. HONOR’s strategy appears to be positioning the V3 as a premium flagship foldable to capture the market before introducing its successor.
