Asus has introduced a new 27-inch gaming monitor in its ROG lineup for the Chinese market. The ROG Strix XG27ACMEG is now available on JD.com starting at 2,099 yuan (~$294) and comes in both black and white color options.
The XG27ACMEG features a WQHD 2560 × 1440 resolution Fast IPS panel, supporting an overclocked refresh rate of up to 260Hz and a minimum response time of just 0.3ms. The monitor is compatible with Nvidia G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies, while Asus ELMB Sync reduces motion blur for fast-paced gaming. Additionally, Variable Overdrive 2.0 dynamically adjusts response times based on frame rates to maintain sharp visuals.
For visuals, the display carries DisplayHDR 400 certification with up to 400 nits peak brightness and supports 10-bit color via 8-bit + FRC. Color accuracy is ensured with 95% DCI-P3 coverage and 130% sRGB coverage, with each unit shipping factory-calibrated and accompanied by a printed calibration report.
Gamers will benefit from AI-powered features such as Dynamic Crosshair for improved targeting and Dynamic Shadow Boost to enhance visibility in dark areas. Connectivity options include one HDMI 2.1 port, one DisplayPort 1.4, a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and 15W power delivery, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The monitor supports VESA 100 × 100mm mounting.
The ROG Strix XG27ACMEG adopts a minimalist industrial design with ergonomic adjustments for height, swivel, pivot, and tilt. On-screen settings can be easily managed using the Asus DisplayWidget Center software.
For context, Dell recently launched the S2725DC, a 27-inch 2K monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate, USB-C 65W charging, and eye-comfort features priced under $250, while AOC introduced a 27-inch 2K IPS gaming monitor with 144Hz refresh rate for just $105.
