Motorola and Realme have expanded their smartphone portfolios in India with the launch of the new Motorola Edge 70 Max and Realme Narzo 100x 5G. While Motorola is targeting the premium flagship segment with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and a Quad HD+ LTPO display, Realme is focusing on value buyers with a massive 8,000mAh battery and a 144Hz display at an affordable price.

Motorola Edge 70 Max: Flagship Performance with Premium Features

The Motorola Edge 70 Max arrives as the company’s latest flagship smartphone, featuring a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ pOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 3168 × 1440 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. It packs a large 7,100mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging and 25W magnetic wireless charging.

For photography, the phone features a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while selfies are handled by a 32MP front camera.

The smartphone runs Android 16 with Hello UX and Motorola promises three Android OS upgrades along with five years of security updates.

Additional highlights include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 5,500mm² vapour chamber cooling system, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, IP68/IP69 certification, Bluetooth 6.0, Dual SIM 5G connectivity, and the dedicated Qira AI button.

Realme Narzo 100x 5G: Big Battery on a Budget

Realme has also introduced the Narzo 100x 5G in India, offering an attractive combination of a high refresh rate display and an enormous battery at an affordable price.

The smartphone features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The camera setup includes a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie shooter.

One of its biggest highlights is the massive 8,000mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and bypass charging for better gaming performance.

The device runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 and also features a 5,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system, AI Pulse Light, IP65 dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and measures 8.8mm thick while weighing 224 grams.
